Since we've made the film we haven't had allot of luck with festivals so the fact that somebody who saw Flotsam and wanted to write about means loads to me.

Flotsam & Jetsam is a documentary based around the beachcombers of Texel, one of the largest Frisian islands just north of mainland Holland. Because of Texel’s geographical position, tidal system and strong north-westerly winds, an estimated 2 tons of flotsam and jetsam is washed up on the beaches a day.

The film will follow the day-to-day lives of the beach combers (or Jutters as they are know on the island), exploring their relationships and history as extraordinary people in extraordinary situations.
