We are currently in Texel getting a few shots to finish the edit and thanks to Jaap Eelman a local camera man / editor we've found this super 8 footage dating back to 1920.

Flotsam & Jetsam is a documentary based around the beachcombers of Texel, one of the largest Frisian islands just north of mainland Holland. Because of Texel’s geographical position, tidal system and strong north-westerly winds, an estimated 2 tons of flotsam and jetsam is washed up on the beaches a day.

The film will follow the day-to-day lives of the beach combers (or Jutters as they are know on the island), exploring their relationships and history as extraordinary people in extraordinary situations.
