Future Farmer Animation,

This is a 3 minute animation I've recently produce for Farming Futures they've an organisation that promote good farming practice and low impact farming. Its one of the first bits of propaganda I've produced and it's a nod to the 'Dads Army' titles.

This isn't the finished article there's still some amends but I really pleased with how this is looking so far. I don't know if Ill use any of these techniques in Flotsam & Jetsam but this is reason I've been off the grid for a while.

This is a slow burner but so worth it. Probably one of the darkest music video I've ever seen. It's by Andy Bruntel who did the 'Under the Pines' video which seems like a bit of a laugh in comparison. I hope it doesn't send you completely under.

I've found a few 'Jutter Feest - 2008' videos on youtube. 'Jutter' is the Dutch expression for 'Beachcomber' and I'm presuming 'Feest' is 'Fest' in English? I've done some internet based research and found no evidence of a 2007 or 2009 but I hope it wasn't a one off.

The more I watch this video the more I realise I have no clue what's going on at all.
Why's that man in the sea?

It's become apparent we're going to have to change the header for the blog and the type for the film. It's not just Art & Copy having a similar identity but every company with an ampersand are going with Baskerville Italic at the moment.

I want to get another designer in to do the text for the film someone who's good with typography.

Northwest Vision+Media have dropped the the Northwest, go figure? They have featured us on there digital shorts blog with a short synopsis of all the other films on the scheme. This is what they had to say about us;

Flotsam and Jetsam - documentary project (dir. Sam Walkerdine, prod. Luke Marsh). The island of Texel, near Holland, is a huge repository for the ocean's flotsam and jetsam. Cor Ellen, one of the oldest and longest active beachcombers on the island has set up a museum that documents the weird and wonderful items that have washed up on his shores. He also has what must be one of the largest collections of messages in bottles in the world.

I watched a bit of the the Garbage Pail Kids Movie after I saw this. The whole films on youtube so, you can get around to it when you have time.
